                  abstract = {This study explores " Beyond the Mystical Gong: Unveiling the Enduring Significance of Sansanwari in Mumuye Religio-Cultural Heritage within a Changing World" .Sangsangwari serves as a vital link between the ancestors and their descendants, symbolising their bond and connecting the physical and spiritual worlds. The gong is believed to possess spiritual powers, protecting the village from evil spirits and regulating moral excess. As a key efficacious symbolic figure, Sangsangwari watches over its people, linking the living with the departed members. The study aims to document and preserve traditional knowledge and practices surrounding Sangsangwari, and provide recommendations for its preservation and promotion. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study utilises ethnographic interviews and participant observation to gather data from community members and traditional leaders. The findings reveal that Sangsangwari holds significant cultural and spiritual importance in Mumuye society, and that the erosion of traditional practices and cultural heritage poses a considerable threat to its preservation. This study underscores the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting cultural diversity. The study recommends documentation, cultural awareness promotion, and community involvement in preservation efforts. By exploring the significance of Sangsangwari, this study contributes to the preservation of Mumuye cultural heritage and highlights the importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.},
