Volume 1, Issue 1 - July 2025
In this paper explores conceptual parallels between ancient Vedic cosmological principles, specifically the influence of GRAH (celestial bodies) and their Vahan (vehicles), and modern neuroscientific understanding of human brain functions. Drawing from the Vedic principle "Yatha Pinde Tatha Brahmande" (as is the microcosm, so is the macrocosm), the study investigates the proposed vibrational effects of GRAH on specific central nervous system (CNS) regions. A detailed comparative analysis is presented, mapping Vedic-attributed functions of GRAH and their symbolic vehicles to the empirically established roles of corresponding brain areas (frontal, parietal, occipital, temporal lobes, cerebellum, thalamus, hypothalamus, and amygdala). The report further bridges these concepts by examining modern scientific perspectives on biological vibrations, bioenergetics, bio-electromagnetism, and quantum theories of consciousness, suggesting potential avenues for interdisciplinary inquiry. While acknowledging the scientific consensus regarding astrology as a pseudoscience, this paper posits that ancient wisdom traditions may offer rich, metaphorically encoded hypotheses for contemporary neuroscience and consciousness research.
